We took the Wave 1 course with Freedive Nusa after hearing very positive recommendations from multiple people we met along our travels. Our guide Seva was an absolute standout—his humour, support, and professionalism made the experience not only enjoyable but also profoundly educational.
What really impressed me was Seva’s deep understanding of the science behind freediving, far exceeding the level of sophistication I've seen from top scuba diving shops all over the world. This instilled confidence in the training I was receiving and gave me a newfound appreciation for the sport. It’s clear that this is a high-end shop that takes its craft very seriously. They have equipment to measure oxygen saturation, check inside your ears, measure lung capacity, and even help clear your sinuses before the day. The gear provided was top-notch and in excellent condition, and the ginger tea was a real treat after a day of diving.
My partner faced some challenges with equalizing in the upside-down position, and we were concerned she might not meet the course requirements. However, Seva’s dedication and relentless support made all the difference. He worked tirelessly with her to troubleshoot the issue (again with science!), keeping her spirits up and ensuring she succeeded. It's worth noting that with the Molchanov program you can get partial accreditation if you don't meet all the requirements, which is great for those who progress more slowly as it allows you to continue working on your skills and pick up where you left off down the road.
Overall, this was a top-tier experience that exceeded all expectations. Whether you’re a seasoned diver or new to freediving, you should dive here.
